Wishing you all a Happy 2021!
I haven’t written in a very long time, but one of my new year goals is to do writing to a set time limit and post regularly. This is a free-style poem that I wrote today (in 15 minutes).
In racy Regency,
in desert burrows,
in city streets,
impressions, expressions, curtailed like,
paper confetti,
against a misty moon,
in racy Regency.
In concrete tunnels,
on wooden seats,
impressions, expressions,
curtailed like,
wooden puppets,
with taped up mouths,
somersaulting,
to fabled tales.
This is awesome. I love your writing style!
Thank you so much 🙂
Happy New Year to you too! My output has been non-existent for some time now but I like your idea of regular timeboxing and it’s something I believe I should try as a way back in.
Your fifteen minutes produced something visual and intriguing!
Happy New Year Nik. Thank you so much. It’s amazing how rusty the writing becomes after long breaks. I read about the timed sessions, and I think perhaps knowing you have a set time helps with focus. I hope this works for you too 🙂
It’s wonderful to hear from you on this new year. I love the poem. I hope the family is doing well; It’s nice to read your words again,,,jc
Hi JC. Happy New Year. It’s great to hear from you. Thank you so much for liking my poem…a little rusty with my writing, still but hopefully I’ll get back into it this year. I hope you are well. We are all good thanks 🙂
