What a great list! I love Robert Louis Stevenson. The Evan Marshall book is very good, particularly the first part about refining and editing. Agatha Christie produced some gems amid all her crime novels. Check out her “Endless Night” if you have a chance!
Good luck with your reading. I think I’m going to have to create a 2014 reading list too!

    • Thank you so much! I have most of the books sitting on my bookshelf slowly gathering dust – so 2014 is definitely the year to be dusting them off! I usually manage to read about 20 novels in a year (as I am a slow reader who analyses every word!), so this year will be a challenge. I will be ticking the books off as I finish them and by the end of the year I can see exactly what I managed to achieve. Oh definitely create a to-read list for yourself – it would be great to see! Happy New Year 🙂

Happy journeys – for that’s what reading is for me 🙂

  3. Seriously comprehensive and admirable. I’m planning on re-reading “This Book Will Make You Smarter”. Its somewhat mind boggling. A collection of essays by top thinkers about what cognitive tool everyone should have to think better.

  4. Morbid Insanity says:

I love ‘The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’ and ‘Death on the Nile’. It’s a very good list! ^_^

  5. alexraphael says:

I’ve read 3. I might have to steal your list 😉
